Aug 13 – Block Development Officers(BDO) across Goa have been directed to ask all the Village Panchayats under their jurisdiction to constitute Road Safety & Traffic Management Committee in their respective Village Panchayats. The Panchayats are expected to conduct regular meetings of these committees to list out traffic management and road safety related issues to avoid accidents. Minutes of these meetings are to be submitted to the BDOs are in turn expected to forward the suggestions to the concerned Dy Superintendant of Police Traffic and also to Additional Director Transport of the respective District.
