Nov 19 – CM Pramod Sawant today asked people, businesses, local self govt institutions etc to be alert about various scams prevalent in the state including cash-for-govt job scam, human trafficking, jewellery scam etc. Don’t fall prey to such racket, he advised. Goa Police have been cracking down on several such scams in the recent past, he added. He also alleged yet again that increase in migrant population has led to increase in crimes in the state. In jewellery scam, fraudsters come with police from other states and claim that they have sold the stolen gold to jewellers in Goa, he informed.
