Digital Goa, May 29 – A person from Benaulim was duped to the tune of Rs 4.5 lakh by cyber scamsters. The victim Joseph Pinto was lured into paying Rs one lakh to the fraudsters on April 28. After coming to know that he was cheated, Pinto intimated the Maharashtra Bank branch in which he has account. Despite initiation of action by the bank, Rs 3.5 lakh more were fraudulently removed from his account. Complaint to this effect has been filed by Pinto with Cybercrime Cell of Goa police as well as COlva and Margao police stations.
