Digital Goa, Aug 20 – Once again, people of Bhoma held a huge rally demanding a bypass to save temples and houses of Bhoma getting demolished in the construction of new highway through this village. Large number of people including women and children participated in the rally which opposed the current alignment which they fear will wipe out most of the village. Local MLA Govind Gaude today visited the agitation site and assured that their land will not be acquired for the national highway project. “No temple or cultivable land will be taken over for this highway. If this happens, I will be the first to oppose that alignment,” he said.
