Digital Goa, Aug 27- Bhoma villagers held a protest meet today to reiterate their demand for a bypass and opposed the Highway Expansion plan in its present form. Villagers have been opposing the highway expansion at Bhoma stating that several houses and temples will have to be demolished for the project. The Union ministry of road transport and highways has already sanctioned Rs 575 crore for the four-laning work from Ponda to Bhoma. PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral had asserted in the recently held assembly that the bypass as proposed by the villagers is not a feasible option.
