Digital Goa, June 16 – Tense situation was witnessed at Sukekulan, Dhargal today afternoon after a truck deployed at the Mopa Link Road flyover work site crushed a man to death. A two-wheeler rider was crushed under the truck while pillion rider was injured in the accident. Locals alleged that the deceased man and his two wheeler was dragged for nearly 200 meters by the truck. Irate locals set two cranes at the work site on fire demanding immediate compensation and justice for the deceased. They warned that they will not allow the dead body to be removed till such time that compensation was given by the company to the victims’ families. They alleged that accidents are common occurrence at this link road work site and that two local persons have already been disabled in earlier accidents in the same area.
