Bill or ordinance proposed to regularise irregular structures; No illegal structure will be allowed in the State henceforth, says CM

Digital Goa, April 8 – Goa govt is contemplating a bill or ordinance to regularise irregular structures on Communidade or govt land. However, action will be initiated against all illegal structures and they will be demolished in compliance with high court order, informed CM Pramod Sawant. He was speaking to media persons after holding a meeting with Ministers, MLAs and officials regarding High Court order on illegal constructions in the state. Henceforth no one will be allowed to erect illegal structure in the state, Sawant asserted. The flying squads and helplines to report illegal constructions have been activated by both the Collectorates and prompt action will be taken against any such upcoming illegal structures, he added. Officers have been instructed to remove encroachments on govt acquired roadside land, he added. He advised people who have erected structures on roadside govt land to remove them on their own at the earliest
