Digital Goa, Sept 1 – Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte today informed beach shack operators that a Bill aimed at resolving issues surrounding the early issuance of 375 shack licences across Goa will come up before the Assembly tomorrow.Govt had introduced The Goa Registration of Tourist Trade (Amendment) Bill, 2026 on August 31, and the Bill is scheduled to come up for consideration tomorrow. Shack owners, met Khaunte seeking early allotment of licences for the upcoming tourism season. They said the related matter which posed hurdle is issuing of licences also came up before the High Court today and the petitioner is likely to have been asked to withdraw the case. Goa government had in June this year extended the 2023-26 Beach Shack Policy by another year, a decision that was subsequently challenged before the court.
