Digital Goa, Dec 29- Pradeep Ghadi Amonkar appeared before Anjuna police on December 29, 2025, in connection with the December 6 fire at the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora that claimed 25 lives. Amonkar said he has owned the property since 1994 and alleged that a 2004 sale agreement with businessman Surinder Kumar Khosla was cancelled after non-payment, claiming the property was later occupied through forgery. He also stated that he had repeatedly warned authorities about alleged illegalities at the nightclub.
Meanwhile, Mapusa JMFC Court on Monday extended the police custody of Ajay Gupta by five days in connection with the major fire incident.
