Jan 28 – Bardez taluka is reeling under acute water shortage due to major breach in main canal of Tillari dam at Kudase, Dodamarg. People of Bardez especially Porvorim have blamed the government for slow pace of repair works. According to the WRD officials, the canal which was breached on Friday last week may take another 3-4 days for repairs. People have been dependent on water tankers for drinking water for last few days. People from affected localities complained that they are now facing difficulties in getting water tanker. Farmers depending on the canal water are also worried about their plantations.
