Digital Goa, Jan 21 – Businessman Bharat Chaudhari from Margao has been booked by Fatorda police for attempt to murder of his business partner Lalit alias Dungraram Chaudhary, nearly 13 days after the brutal attack. On Jan 8th, Bharat allegedly entered Lalit’s shop and attacked him with a sickle(koita), injuring him grievously. The brutal attack left Lalit, who tried to flee from the shop, in a pool of blood on the footpath. His eye and ear have been badly damaged in the attack. The entire attack was captured on the CCTV camera of the shop. Bharat has been absconding since the incident and police are on lookout for him.
Meanwhile, Marwadi community members from Margao today marched onto the Fatorda police station demanding immediate arrest of the accused. Police on their part claimed that they are on lookout of the accused and have sent teams outside the state to nab him.
