Aug 5 – State Cabinet has approved hike of Rs 2,000 in salaries of Zilla Panchayat Chairperson, Dy Chairperson and members. An amendment to this effect will be brought during the ongoing assembly session. Once the hike is effected, Chairperson will get Rs 20,000 salary, Dy Chairpersons Salary will be Rs 18,500 and members will get Rs 17,000 as salary.
