Nov 25- A person from Camurlim has been arrested by Colva police for allegedly assaulting Dy Sarpanch of the village and her husband. Camurlim Deputy Sarpanch Sangeeta Pednekar and her husband have filed a complain that they were allegedly assaulted by Nubert Fernandes after the gramsabha yesterday. Following this, Nubert has been arrested under sections 115(2), 352, 74, 79, 351(2)(3) of BNS. NGO Green Brigade has condemned the arrest alleging that the police action was one sided and that Nubert was allegedly assaulted by the husband-wife duo as he was opposing a multidwelling villa project in ecosensitive area of the village.
