Digital Goa, Nov 17 – Captain of Ports(CoP) has initiated the process for executing the desilting work 5 Kilometer stretch of Mapusa River from Tar to Moira. The work is to be completed by March 2023. CoP has floated tender for executing the works of desilting work of Mapusa river from Mapusa Highway Bridge at Tar to downstream upto Moira within an area of 5.0 Kilometers in length, 15.0 Metres wide and 2.0 metres depth from existing depth. Disposal of the desilted materials or spoils at the designated disposal ground as per the provisions of the CRZ Notification, 1991 or as directed by the Captain of Ports is also part of the tender work. The work needs to be commenced by December, 2023 and needs to be completed by March, 2023, states the tender document.
