Digital Goa, Oct 9 – Corporation of City of Panaji(CCP) Commissioner Clen Madeira today refuted opposition’s allegations of scam in pay parking contract by the corporation. Referring to the allegations as baseless, he said that that bid winner has already deposited 70% of the bid amount in the form of bank guarantee and security deposits. A new 3 year contract will be signed with the contractor, he informed. He said the contractor has been permitted to collect the parking fees even though order has not yet been issued as he had already deposited the amount and CCP would have to pay him compensation if he was not allowed to collect the fees.
