Digital Goa, Jan 17 – Noisy scene was witnessed at the CCP meet today with corporators demanding audit and inquiry in the Smart City works. Corportor and former CCP mayor Uday Madkaikar pressed for investigation by the govt against the consultant who he alleged was nowhere to be seen after receiving Rs 8 crore in terms of payment. He also demanded that PWD engineers team should carry out quality audit of the ongoing work specially with reference to the underlying systems while they are not covered. He added that they will be pose problems at later stage if not handled now. “CM says he is handling everything, so hopefully things will improve,” said CCP Mayor Rohit Monserrate.
