Center releases State Disaster Response Fund for undertaking monsoon relief measures

Digital Goa, June 30 – Under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), the Union govt has released state share of Rs 4,984.80 crore to 15 States including Goa for year 2023-24. The funds are expected to help States undertake relief measures during the current Monsoon season. Goa shares the SDRF with Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Tripura. Center also approved release of Rs 1,209.60 crore as Central share of the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to four States (Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh) for year 2022-23.
