Digital Goa, Dec 12 – Based on population statistics of the state, Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Caste(SC) and Scheduled Tribes(ST) has recommended that 5 of the 40 constituencies in Goa Assembly be reserved for Scheduled Tribes and 2 for Scheduled Casts. Goa govt has been asked to submit a proposal to this effect to the committee at the earliest. The committee is on a 3 day visit to Goa from Jan 11 to Jan 13.
