Digital Goa, Nov 21 – The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Goa has issued an alert after reports of fraudsters impersonating Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and calling citizens to obtain OTPs. Officials said the scamsters are attempting to use the information to access and steal money from voters’ bank accounts. The CEO clarified that genuine BLOs never ask for OTPs or personal details, and urged citizens to stay vigilant and avoid responding to suspicious calls or messages. Voters can confirm BLO details by calling the toll-free helpline 1950. The advisory has reiterated – never share OTPs, never click suspicious links, and never trust unknown messages.
