Digital Goa, June 18 – History of Goa Revolution Day – 18th June will be part of Std 11 th text book from next academic year, announced CM Pramod Sawant today. He was speaking at the Goa Revolution day program. Bal Bharati book of Std 4th already has a chapter on Goa Revolution day, he added. Asserting that no injustice will be metered out to freedom fighters, CM assured of clearing pending pension related issues within 2 months time. He went on to add that 100 odd children of freedom fighters who are yet to be offered govt jobs will be incorporated into govt service if they so desire by next 18th June. A state level function was also held at Lohia Maidan in Margao in the presence of Ram Manohar Lohia’s son Rajendra Prasad Lohia.
Speaking at the function, President of Goa, Daman & Diu Freedom Fighters association expressed displeasure over sale of liquor at places of historical importance like forts.
