Feb 19 – Vicky Kaushal starrer movie Chhaava based on life of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj will be made tax free in Goa, announced CM Pramod Sawant. He was speaking at the Shivajayanti program at Bicholim.
Meanwhile, in another function CM asserted that an incorrect version of history is being presented to students, claiming that the Portuguese ruled all of Goa for 450 years, when in reality, they governed only four of the present-day 12 talukas for that duration. He urged teachers to ensure students learn the correct history of Goa, highlighting the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in resisting complete Portuguese conversion of the region.
