Digital Goa, October 16 – Chimbel Panchayat today refused to grant a construction licence for the proposed Unity Mall project in the village. “We have taken a decision in the fortnightly meeting of the Panchayat body to oppose the proposed Unity Mall in our village. We are with the people, and if people don’t want the Unity Mall, we also don’t want the project,” said Sarpanch Sandesh Shirodkar. Meanwhile, the Goa government has informed the High Court that the construction of the Unity Mall will only proceed after obtaining all necessary permissions.
