A Chinchinim, Salcete resident was cheated to the tune of Rs 3 lakh on the pretext of filling up form fees for filing a complaint on the National Consumer Forum. The victim came in contact with the accused through a site allegedly linked to the National Consumer Forum. The accused allegedly induced the complainant to share his mobile screen while processing payment of form fees for filing a complaint on the portal.Believing the same, the complainant shared access, following which ₹3,00,000 was allegedly withdrawn from his bank account in a single transaction.
