Digital Goa, August 7 – A 17-year-old Class XI Science student from Mormugao drowned after allegedly slipping into the Tonir–Kajredhat Waterfall at Valpoi, Sattari during a school-organised trek on Friday.The deceased has been identified as student of a Higher Secondary School at Headland Sada, Mormugao. He was part of a trekking expedition, in which around 40 students and teachers had participated. During the outing, the student allegedly slipped and fell into the waterfall, resulting in his death by drowning. His body was recovered by Fire & Emergency personnel.
