Sept 11- CM Sawant instructed officials to clear scrap boats crowding the Cutbona jetty within next 8 to 10 days.He also ordered removal of all encroachments from the fishing jetties within 8 days. He instructed officials to install new bio toilets and remove sensors from the existing toilets.CM asked officials to ensure that labourers are not charged fees to use the toilet. Instead the money should be taken from the boat owners based on number of workers employed by them, he directed. He also ordered that new boats should not be given permissions without toilets. CM said that Fisheries Dept and Health Dept will release detailed SOP to workers as well as boat owners in view of vector borne disease outbreak. Sawant also informed that the 10-year-old jetty which is yet to be inaugurated will be opened for use by boat owners within next 10 to 15 days. He also directed Fisheries Dept, Health Dept and Collector office to submit a joint report on the situation at the jetties.
