Digital Goa, Sept 28 – Formula to allot beach shacks was altered today as per request of Shack operators’ after a meeting called by CM Pramod Sawant. Now, 10 percent shacks will be allotted to new comers, 10 percent to those having experience from 1 yr to 4 years and remaining 80 percent to those having experience of above 5 years of running the beach shacks. A meeting was called by CM to resolve the demands of Shack Operators. As per the new shack policy 2023-2026, the allocation was 90 % for those with experience of one year and above of running a shack and 10 % was for newbies. Opposing this allotment, shack operators had sought CM’s intervention. Another meeting is scheduled tomorrow with CRZ authority to decide on the number of shacks, sewerage and other matters.
