Digital Goa, Sept 8 – CM Pramod Sawant called on industry leaders in Goa to ensure that the benefits of the newly rolled-out GST reforms reach the public. He was speaking at an event organised by the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He asserted that tourism and exports are the primary sectors that will gain from the new reforms. Sawant who represents Goa at the GST Council, acknowledged that states had expressed apprehensions regarding short-term revenue loss.“But in the long run, the benefits will be passed on to the people,” he opined.
