July 31- Collector will be asked to contact South Western Railways to ask them to open the gates of the manned railway crossing at Chandor at least during monsoons months in view of water logging and other issued related to the underpass, informed CM Pramod Sawant. LoP Yuri Alemao had brought to the notice of the house the issues faced by locals including school children while using the underpass. The manned level crossing gate at Chandor, connecting to the Chandor Church circle and Guirdolim junction was closed permanently for road traffic from May 2023.
