Sept 4- CM Pramod Sawant has assured strict action against the teachers who brutally assaulted IV th Std student of Camurlim primary school. Speaking to reporters, Sawant said that the Education dept and Police are directed to take appropriate action against the teachers so that such acts are not repeated again. “I can’t understand how can a teacher act like this. Now there is a need for teachers’ counselling. Looks like the teachers has vented out her personal anger on the student,” he said. Colvale police have filed FIR against two teachers of Shree Saraswati Vidyamandir Primary School, Vagalim, Camurlim – Sujal Gawade and Kanisha Gadekar for allegedly assaulting a 9-year-old child for tearing the pages of his books. The boy’s father had filed a police complaint against the two teachers in this regards yesterday.
