Digital Goa, Jan 15 – CM Pramod Sawant on Thursday assured the Goa Legislative Assembly that he would request the Election Commission for an extension of the deadline to appeal against deletions of names from the voter list under the SIR.The assurance was given after members raised concerns over the ongoing SIR process. Sawant said the matter would be taken up with the Election Commission to ensure that every single eligible Goan voter will get adequate time to file appeals and ensure that their names get included in the voter list.
