Digital Goa, Sept 22 – Asserting that the upcoming Unity Mall and Prashasan Stambh projects are being developed on government land with all necessary permissions in place, CM Pramod Sawant has appealed to villagers to support the initiatives. He said the projects will generate more than 1,000 employment opportunities for locals while also creating business avenues for Goan entrepreneurs. Incidentally, villagers are up in arms against the projects citing serious environmental concerns to the fragile ecosystem including the notified wetland in the village. Locals as well as social activists from Goa attended the protest meet held against the projects yesterday in large numbers.
