Dec 10- Chief Minister Pramod Sawant issued a stern warning to hotels and industrial units failing to manage their waste responsibly. He warned of strict action including cutting power and water supply or shutting down units if necessary. Speaking at the inauguration of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) at Harvalem, Sawant emphasized the need to maintain Goa’s cleanliness as a tourism state. “Citizens can directly report such violations to authorities,” he stated. Sawant highlighted ongoing government efforts to improve waste management through new reforms and laws, urging the support of industries and hotels.
