Digital Goa, June 1 – A woman escaped with minor injuries after a coconut tree fell on their car in the first rain of the season at Valsao this morning. Maria Fernandes, who suffered joint dislocation, was sent home after first aid by primary health centre. The front side of the car has been badly damaged with the fall of coconut tree and Maria was rescued by her husband who was driving the car.

Digital Goa, June 1 – The Fire and Emergency Services received several calls this morning to report tree falls due to gusty wind. Few houses have been damaged in Mormugao taluka due to falling of coconut and other trees. Loss of over Rs 50,000 was reported by house owners affected by tree fall.
