Oct 9 – An inmate of Colvale State Central Jail allegedly attempted suicide by self-immolation within the jail premises. The undertrial accused, identified as Raju Das, allegedly set himself on fire at the hospital inside the jail premises. He has sustained 40 to 50 % burn injuries and is being treated at GMC Hospital.
