Congress leader Girish Chodankar seeks early SC hearing in G8 disqualification plea

Digital Goa, Nov 9 – Congress leader Girish Chodankar has approached the Supreme Court seeking an early hearing of his Special Leave Petition (SLP) concerning the disqualification of eight Congress MLAs who switched to the BJP in 2022. Chodankar stated that even after six months since notices were issued, the respondents have failed to submit their replies. He urged the apex court to expedite the matter, noting that the term of Goa Legislative Assembly will end in less than 16 months.
