Dec 11 – Congress Party will decide whether to forge alliance with other parties or contest alone in forthcoming Zilla Panchayat elections after consulting people, says Congress’ Goa desk in charge Anjali Nimbalkar. The Congress Party is yet to decide whether to contest the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections in Goa independently or align with other parties. The decision will be made after consulting the people. She shared this during a media briefing following a meeting of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC).Manikrao Thakre, a senior Congress leader present at the briefing, accused the BJP of making allegations against Congress leaders to divert attention from their own scams. He alleged that BJP leaders were responsible for circulating the viral video involving a Congress MLA. Congress MLA Carlos Ferreira, who attended the GPCC meeting, declined to comment on the video controversy when questioned by the media.
