Digital Goa, July 6 – Congress party has decided in-principle to contest forthcoming election to elect Rajya Sabha member from Goa. The political Advisory Committee of Congress in Goa took the decision to field Congress candidate in the Rajya Sabha election. The decision will be conveyed to the high command and final decision will be taken in next few days, says Congress. Congress will take support from like-minded parties in these elections and Leader of Opposition will talk to other opposition parties for support, says Congress leader M K Shaikh. He further said that the Congress is gearing up for the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. A meeting of block presidents was held today in the presence of AICC Goa desk in-charge Manickam Tagore to review the work allocated to block presidents to prepare the party for the Lok Sabha polls.
