Digital Goa, June 27 – The Goa Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) today issued a public notice announcing the ‘COVID-19 Amnesty Scheme’ . Under the scheme, the penal interest imposed on industries that have failed to pay premiums, interest on premiums, and lease rent will be reduced to 5 %. The scheme will come into force with effect from June 24, 2023 and shall be valid for 30 days. The industries have the option to pay their dues in a single payment (or) make monthly instalments (maximum of 8 installments). As per the govt, the scheme is a strategy to enable over 600 non-functional industrial units in Goa to restart their operations by clearing the pending dues.
