Feb 7- Crime Branch has busted a racket of cheating people in the pretext of providing jobs in foreign countries. A skin specialist Dr Meena Pooja Gop from Mapusa was arrested by Crime Branch and police are on the look out of second accused and Arvind Gop for cheating over 12 victims to the tune of Rs 27.73 lakh. Both the accused acted as recruiting agent and induced complainant Sanjana Mahesh Bicholkar from Guirim to shell out Rs 8.5 lakh on the pretext of providing job in New Zealand. Dr Meena is also booked for preparing forged visa document. Subsequently, 12 more cases of cheating came to light in which Rs 27.73 lakhs involved. The victims had staged a protest at Azad Maidan 2 days back in this regards.
