Digital Goa, May 24 – Panic gripped residents of a locality in Balli on Saturday night after a crocodile strayed into a residential area where children frequently play. With authorities not immediately reachable despite attempts by locals to seek assistance at night, villagers took the initiative to tie up the reptile and ensure public safety until help arrived. The crocodile was safely handed over to Forest Department rescuers on Sunday morning, who took custody of the animal for release into its natural habitat. No injuries were reported in the incident.
