Digital Goa, May 16 – Goa tourism department has notified the Cumbharjua canal—from Cortalim ferry point to Banastarim bridge—as a new sightseeing zone for crocodile tours. Boat operators must obtain permissions from the tourism department, captain of ports, and an NOC from the Directorate of Fisheries. Safety norms, including emergency backup plans, coordination with ferry services, and mandatory life-saving equipment, have been made compulsory.
