Digital Goa, August 20 – Cuncolim Police have arrested a resident of Cuncolim, for allegedly raping a woman, cheating her of around ₹90 lakh in cash and gold ornaments, and threatening to upload her nude photos on social media. Police said the accused befriended the complainant on social media, promised to marry her, and later forced sexual relations. He allegedly induced her to part with money and jewellery belonging to her and her family on false assurances of returning it. When she demanded it back, he allegedly issued threats. The accused has been arrested today, August 20.
