Digital Goa, Sept 4 – Curchorem Cacora Municipal Council has resolved not to allow garbage from areas other than Quepem, Dharbandora, Sanguem and Canacona for treatment at the Cacora waste treatment plant. The resolution was taken in the presence of local MLA and Environment Minister Nilesh Cabral. Last week High Court had ordered transportation of 20 metric tonnes (MT) of wet waste from the Margao Municipal area to the 100 TPD Cacora Solid Waste Management Plant. The Municipality also resolved to file an intervention application in the High Court in the matter.
