Digital Goa, June 11 – Day Care Chemotherapy Centres set up in North and South Goa District Hospitals to make cancer treatment more accessible, were inaugurated today. The centres were set up through a ₹65 lakh donation by the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera under its Global Grant programme. Health Minister Vishwajit Rane inaugurated the facilities at South Goa on Thursday. A similar facility will also be operational at the North Goa District Hospital, ensuring that patients can access follow-up chemotherapy services nearer to home, informed Rane.
