Dec 30 – A woman from Delhi was arrested by Margao Town police for stealing Mangalsutra worth Rs 3.5 lakh of Sao Jose De Areal resident lady from a running bus. The accused identified as Radha Velhu was arrested and remanded to 5 days police custody. Priya Kotkar from Sao Jose De Areal and a native of Karwar has filed a complain to this effect with the police. Radha and her accomplice were travelling in the same bus as Priya. When the bus reached Calconda juction, the 2 women snatched Priya’s Mangasutra and cash of Rs 2,000 and hastily alighted from the bus. Radha was later apprehended by police.
