Digital Goa, July 17 – Directorate of Education (DoE) has withdrawn its controversial circular that required schools across Goa to obtain prior written approval before inviting any speaker, activist or organisation to their campuses. The circular had triggered sharp reactions from the Opposition, which demanded its withdrawal, alleging that it amounted to censorship. The DoE issued a fresh circular today withdrawing the earlier directive.
