Dr  Rudresh  Kuttikar demands public apology from Health Minister at GMC casualty; protesting doctors give 24  hours ultimatum

Digital Goa, June 9 – Dr Rudresh Kuttikar, the Casualty Medical Officer at Goa Medical College (GMC), has demanded that Health Minister Vishwajeet Rane issue a public apology in the casualty ward, the same place where he was humiliated. He said that the apology should be recorded and widely circulated, just as the video of the incident was made viral. Protesting doctors have issued a 24-hour ultimatum for the apology. Doctors asserted that the services at the premier health facilities have not been affected due to the protest so far. While they clarified they are not in favour of escalating the protest—citing concerns over disruption of services at GMC Hospital—they warned that they may be left with no choice but to intensify their agitation if their rightful demand is not met. The future course of action, they said, would be decided after discussions with all stakeholders, including doctors, consultants, IMA, GARD, and students. Doctors are also considering approaching the Goa Human Rights Commission over the matter.
