Digital Goa, July 27 – A 27-year-old man identified as Mithun Kumar Rawani, resident of Verna and native of Jharkhand, died in a road accident near Union Bank, Verna in the early hours of July 27. The accused rider Ritesh Bediya, also from Verna and native of Jharkhand, was riding a bike under the influence of alcohol in a rash and negligent manner when he lost control and crashed.Mithun, who was riding pillion, succumbed to his injuries, while Ritesh sustained grievous injuries and is undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim.
