Digital Goa, Aug 8 – Although Air India has shifted flight operations of London- Goa flights to Manohar International Airport at Mopa, freshly issued e-visas of passengers are not accepted at the airport. CM Pramod Sawant said that he will look into the matter after MLA Vijay Sardesai brought the fact to the notice of the state legislative assembly. “I will check why E-visa’s are not accepted,” Sawant said. E-visa holder passengers are made to pay additional Temporary Landing Permit(TLP) fee at the Mopa airport for the past 3 days, Vijai further informed. When he pointed out that the e-visa facility is not provided as required machines were not available at Mopa Airport, CM said, he will ask them to procure them. However, no visa related issues are faced at Mopa by international passengers with OCI cards, Indian passport holders , holders of permit valid old e-visas which have been already used to enter India before and passengers with normal paper visas. E-visas are accepted at Dabolim Airport but not at Mopa, so shift the London-Goa flight operations back to Dabolim till the facility is in place, asserted Vijay.
