ECI activates voter helpline 1950, launches ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ for quick grievance redressal

Digital Goa, October 29 – The Election Commission of India (ECI) has activated the National Voter Helpline (1950) and launched the ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ facility to help citizens resolve election-related queries and grievances. The toll-free helpline (1800-11-1950) operates daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., connecting callers to trained executives for assistance. State and district contact centres have also been set up to provide localized support in regional languages, with all complaints tracked through the National Grievance Service Portal (NGSP 2.0). Through the new ‘Book-a-Call with BLO’ feature on the ECINET platform, voters can directly reach their Booth Level Officers, while officials have been instructed to ensure grievance redressal within 48 hours. Citizens can also contact ECI via the ECINet App or by emailing complaints@eci.gov.in.
